There's no mucking around with this jig head - it's designed for seriously big soft plastic tails aimed at seriously big fish. The classic design shape gets the lure to where it needs to be fast, but has the strength to stay with the fish for the entire fight. The hook is an Owner 5319 forged XXX-strong with a wide gape and a Super Needle Point, and comes in odd sizes from 3/0 up to 7/0 in weights from half an ounce to 1 1/2 ounces. This is the sort of head you want when targeting big snapper, yellowtail kingfish, coral trout, cobia, jewfish off breakwalls and even wised-up mahi mahi around FADs.
