Mirror Teasers

There's no doubting the effectiveness of mirror teasers in attracting billfish to a lure spread, and while there are numerous mirror teasers on the market, one of the very best is the Black Pete Dillfish teaser. Nose-weighted to keep its head down at high speeds (it therefore sinks at rest), the overall colour scheme of the Dillfish teaser is day-glo orange and white, which combines with those highly reflective mirrored surfaces to throw out heaps of fish-attracting flash. There are three teasers in the range - Small for baby black marlin and sailfish, Medium for striped and mid-range black marlin, and Large for Cairns-sized fish and scary monster blue marlin in more temperate waters. The mirrors on Dillfish teasers are fixed with stainless screws and siliconed in place to prevent saltwater intrusion underneath - a major problem with other mirror teasers where the silver backing corrodes and the teaser loses its all important flash after just a few trips offshore.
